GERALDINE STANDING - DAN AIR REMEMBERED

Above: Geraldine serves "passengers" in the early 1970's as part of a Dan Air in flight magazine publicity shot. None of the passengers were real, but Dan Air staff recruited to act as stand ins.

Hi I have stumbled upon the Dan Air website and whilst looking through some of the links came across "On Board".  On that link there is a photo of a young hostie in red & white uniform holding a tray of drinks. That was me!!
I flew with Dan Air for approx 3 years, primarily based at Luton flying on BAC-111's and on occasion flying from Gatwick on Comets.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Dan Air and was extremely proud to be a part of the cabin crew.  I still have friends from that time and last year, during a trip to the UK met up with a fellow hostie with whom I shared a room with - we still talked about our days with Dan Air and the fun we had. I now live in Australia and have done so for the best part of 30 years, but, I still remember with pride my days with Dan Air.
By the way I also remember quite vividly the pre-packed salad type meals that we served to our passengers....
If you wish to contact me, please feel free to do so.
