DC 4 DETAILS & FLEET LISTING
The  Douglas C-54 Skymaster was a four-engined transport aircraft used by the  United States Army Air Forces in World War II. After the war the  aircraft was available in large quantities. Several made their way to  the UK.  Dan Air operated two of the type. they were leased from Trans  World Leasing for seven and eight months respectively. For their time  with Dan Air they wore the Lloyd International Colour Scheme. The  aircraft was used exclusively as for cargo operations. Throughout  this section of the website we have endeavoured to find a photograph of  each individual aircraft. there are thumbnail images of all the  liveries the aircraft wore whilst with Dan Air, and in many cases, the  prior and subsequent liveries with other operators. The thumbnail images  can be enlarged by simply clicking on them.
