TELL US ABOUT YOUR TIME WITH DAN AIR: Thoroughly enjoyed my time with Dan and the people we worked with both in the air and on the ground. Was on of the 6 on the 737 - 400 at LGW that got the chop in Dec 1992, though only half way down seniority list, it must be admitted. Went to Malaysian Airlines on the 737 for 3 years with about 10 other Dan Captains, then came home back to Manchester to help start up Dan Air Mark m2, Sabre Airways with 2 ex-Dan 727s, ND and NI. Company was sold off in 2000 to some not very nice people, so I was head hunted to easyJet as they were about to get their first 737-700s and I was a TRE , simulator and aircraft. Stayed with them for 10 years, converting to A 320 series ( not easy after 15 years on Boeings, then started my own Simulator Training Company for 5 years till I felt I was getting so far away from the flying that I was losing credibility.
