DENISE BRAY - DAN AIR REMEMBERED

I  am so glad to be part of the Dan Air Remembered Website. I've had a  good look around and its great. Here are some snippets about me:  I  joined Dan Air in 1977 aged 20. I reluctantly left in 1988 as I had 2  children by then and became a stay at home mum until the youngest  started school. Then got a job in a local College where I've been for 20  years! When I joined I was Denise BOOTH, I married 3 years later and  became BRAY. With Dan Air I worked on BAC 1-11 and Boeing 727 at London  Gatwick. I Shared a house near Haywards Heath with Frankie Cutbush (now  Frankie GAIR). We were also friends with Bev Whyatt (now Bev MARTIN),  Jane CORROYER and Hilary Fulton. I particularly remember the week long  trips we did on the 727 to Eilat, Israel because I'm a scuba diver so I  used to take my husband on the flight with me then we would have a great  week diving in the Red Sea, then a quick wash and brush up in time to  operate the inbound flight with the passengers we had met on the dive  boats! My daughter is now working for BA at LGW and often meets ex Dan  Air stewardesses who are now BA who remember working with her mum!  Looking back I wish I had never left, Dan Air was like a great big  family and its fantastic that the summer reunions still happen and so  many of us are still in touch. We worked very hard, particularly in the  Summer and always found time (even on a short flight) to fit in an extra  drinks round to earn a bit of "totting money" like Viv Jensen told you  about in her interview! I cant believe that at the end of every flight  and when the passengers had gone, out came the landing drinks and we all  had a jolly old time then got in our cars and drove home! Those were  the days ... :) Adam, I hope these memories are of use to you, I will  have a look round for any mementos to photograph and send them on to  you.
